Afternoon tea

Welcome

When you're facing a health challenge, or caring for someone who is poorly, enjoying a meal with family and friends can be difficult, but it's such a shame to miss out on the great food and human connections that we share around the table. We've created the Nourish Afternoon Tea to bring people together over a cup of tea and a few delicious treats, and in the process to raise awareness of the difficulties around eating faced by people living with conditions such as cancer and dementia.

Whether you buy the scones or bake your own, we're inviting you to celebrate with your loved ones and enjoy a traditional afternoon tea together.

We're putting the kettle on – please, join us for a Nourish Afternoon Tea.

Nourish Afternoon Tea

We're putting on our first Nourish Afternoon Tea event for specially invited guests at the Royal Hospital Chelsea on Valentine's Day, 14 February 2017. The event will be presented in partnership with Dementia UK, and we are delighted to have people living with dementia and their families, plus the charity's wonderful Admiral Nurses, with us on the day. Our incredible Patron Prue Leith CBE will also be joining us.

It wouldn't be teatime without cake and other delicious treats, so we have created a wonderful menu for the Nourish Afternoon Tea that everyone can enjoy, even if they have eating issues linked to poor health, such as swallowing difficulties, sore mouth and taste changes.

Host your own Nourish Afternoon Tea

We're inviting you to join the Nourish community and host your own Nourish Afternoon Tea. Share tea with a loved one at home, put on a Nourish Afternoon Tea in a care home or in your community – it's a wonderful way to spend time with others and to raise awareness of the eating challenges faced by those living with dementia, cancer, stroke and other serious illnesses.
